Rainy Days

Wednesday night rained all night which resulted in a wet, cloudy day yesterday on campus. On a break from class I was able to get some much needed reading done for a couple of my Anthropology classes, and eat some lunch at Einstein Bagels. A Tasty Turkey, pickle, and a bowl of chicken noodle could not have hit the spot any better today! It was followed up by an nice hot cup of Tazo green tea. While I wish that I could this weekend could be filled with sleeping in and nice long afternoons, I will be busy and reading an ethnography for school. Trust me, I have not forgot that the first weekend of November my girlfriend and I will spend some much needed time SHOPPING... 9 more days!

Good Reads

I am a huge fan of a quick, fun, easy read and Lauren Conrad accomplishes this with her current series of books (LA Candy, Sweet Little Lies, Sugar and Spice, and Lauren Conrad Style). I fell in love with them instantly! Lauren just recently posted that she is coming out with a new book, and I cannot wait for The Fame Game to come out April 2012... Check it out on her website.

Spooky Sally Manicure

I am addicted to Sally Hansen's Salon Effects nail polish strips. There is no dry time and they are super easy to apply! Mine are called spun for you perfect for Halloween on Monday!

Pumpkin Art

Last night I was bored surfing the internet when I came across these amazing carved pumpkins! Mine always come out as the classic jack-o-lantern with triangle eyes, if I could only accomplish something this amazing..

Wishful Thinking

After a long week of work, which went by far too slowly, I have been dreaming of shopping and some me time. Tonight while watching some TV, there were two commercials for H&M on a local channel, only reminding me that we do not have one in New Mexico. I fell in love with this store when I was studying abroad in Spain and miss it more that I could express. Tonight I was browsing their website and could not help but make a wish list for when I go to California in January, here are some of my favorite picks.

There is nothing I love more than bright colorful nail polish, which is always a mood booster no matter what season it is! I love the bright orange and red right in front, so cheerful!

How cute are these simple gloves?? Perfect for chilly walks to the bus stop on days I have class!

Is it possible that they will still have this dress in 3 months when I am California?? It is the perfect combination of color and texture. The lace and long sleeves make it perfect for cold nights!

I LO-VE cute earrings that play up a simple outfit, which these would compliment one perfectly.

Finally, I saved the best for last! White, lace, sleeves, and a hemline that hits right above the knee? Outstandingly perfect and beautiful!

(The countdown continues until my shopping date, which is much needed. 11 days)

Fall on Campus

Yesterday was a warmer than expected day on campus, but I couldn't help but love the trees that are starting to change colors! The golden trees are the only thing about fall that I enjoy. I love summertime and miss it already! Fall has the cold mornings, warm afternoons, and cold nights that drive me crazy! But there is no escaping it.. This weekend is full of work and homework, which is making me count down a couple weekends ahead when a girlfriend and I have plans to go shopping! Have a great weekend!! 15 days to go!

Organized Books

Mid-point Before:
After I had bought the red kitchen accessories I was inspired to reorganize the bookshelf in our living room. Before I had books pilled every which way and my boyfriend's baseball memorabilia shoved in little corners. Now that I have my books clearly displayed, a shelf for my school notebooks and books (which is still a little disheveled), and a single place for all of my boyfriends magazines. This only inspires me to organize my desk and even my bathroom.

Red, White, & Blue

I have been very busy lately, between work, school, and trying to enjoy the last bit of warm weather there hasn't been time to just relax. My boyfriend and I just moved in together, it has been an amazing month, I love it! But the downside is the decorating, and the lack of it that is happening! I love white, blue, pink, gray, flowers, and lace. While my boyfriend, loves modern, red, black, and gray. While the one thing we have in common is the color gray (which is the color of our new comforter), everything else seems to be total opposites. How do I combine these make us both happy and make our little rental a home??? I am not too sure at this point. I just bought some inexpensive red rugs and towels from target tonight and love the way they look, BUT the downside is, I wish the kitchen was blue and flowery! There has to be a way to mend both of our styles into a stylish home, that does not look like the American flag!! I am open to all suggestions!
