Happy Holidays

I can't wait to buy each one of these!

I hate how Halloween ends and then all of sudden it is Christmas everywhere you look (stores and TV). I wish there was a stop to enjoy Thanksgiving, and for giving thanks, not for football. But I guess there is nothing I can do about that with our current American culture. But in light of the upcoming holidays Ruche has an amazing online magazine, with inspiring DIY projects, and I could not help but share this with you guys! I want to try and make the glitter candle holders. What will you try?

Downtown Books

I have already expressed how much I love going to used book stores in a previous post, but today on my walk home, I made it a point to stop by and check out what new cook books they had. Every time I go there is always something different, and I never know what to expect. I found two books that are in my new favorite trend, France. I don't know that much about France, but I am falling in love with the romantic ideology this country holds. My first few years in college my declared major was Spanish, while it has now changed to Anthropology, I am dreaming of learning French. Now that I think about it why can't college be free, that way I can take a few classes in everything that I find interesting? But I guess that is why they have book stores, or used bookstores to be exact. I will share my books once I have a chance to read them, one being a cookbook and the next being a book on a mans adventures eating through France.

Currently Reading

Julie & Julia by Julie Powell, is a great pick me up. Especially after reading titles such as; Who Can Stop the Drums (Venezuela, anthro class), Counting the Dead (Colombia, anthro class), and lastly The Heart of Darkness (history class). It is nice to just to get away and re-live someone else's experience of life, love, blogging, and cooking.

What are you currently reading? Good book suggestions are always exciting.

Beautiful Monday

I love the burnt orange colors in monarch butterflies, perfect for fall!

So far, so good. I usually dread Mondays, mostly because I have homework pilled up that is always due on Tuesday afternoon, and I have to be at work earlier than usual (10am instead of 12noon). This morning I woke up early and enjoyed a hot cup of coffee. Instead of reading one of the four books I need to finish this week for my classes, I opted for online shopping. After heading to Forever 21 with my girlfriend this weekend, I couldn't help but love the selection of online shopping much better. While nothing beats going to the store and finding a great piece, the selection and lack of people that I find online will never compare (I only found the blazer & the hair clip bows from my wish list). 

I could not save the picture from the Vans online store, but I fell in love with at least three pairs of shoes that I want to order asap! Here are a couple links to check them out! Have a great day!

So, I thought that tonight I would take sometime and "window" shop, and when I say "window" I mean from the window of my MacBook. I have to limit myself to the stores that I will be visiting here in ABQ. My

Just another Tuesday

Halloween is finally over, which resulted in a very slow weekend at work, that is never good, and only about 10 trick-or-treaters came by our house.  Now it's time to get ready for Thanksgiving! Can you believe how fast time is flying by? 

This morning I was on Facebook, and on OPI's page they posted Nicki Minaj's new nail polish line, and I can't wait to get it!!!
